Do you think listening to audio books is cheating?

what are your thoughts on audio books? is it cheating? or is it the same as reading the book?Do you think listening to audio books is cheating?
It's not cheating. It's a different experience, but can be rewarding in its own ways.
it's not cheating!!!they can help you read and learn other things you might not know!Do you think listening to audio books is cheating?
Alot of my patrons listen to audio books while they are in the car driving to work. Some listen to them while doing housework. So Is it cheating, I would say no. I don't think it is as same as reading the book because I do have an active imagination and think of my self in the book as I read. However, it depends on who reads the book on the books on tape. If for example you got the late Vincent Price to read Steven King novels on tape when he was still alive, that would be really extra creepy and maybe be worth the experience..Do you think listening to audio books is cheating?
Its not cheating what I consider cheating in my opinion is Cliffs Notes because you don't know the whole book but with an audipo book you get the whole book
For preparation for tests, they can help. However, they will never completely give you the kind of knowledge of the book you would get from reading it. It's a great way to enjoy one, though, on a trip in a car.
Nothing wrong with Audio, I listen to them while driving, usually long distance, or just sitting doing something soothing like, painting etc., I find it relieves stress.
I'd say so, you don't get the same feeling from listening to an audio book compared to reading one
Absolutely not! Afterall, some people are auditory learners. I know what you mean though, sometimes I feel like it is cheating if I listen to a book online. :)
It depends on what you mean by "cheating". Rarely if ever can one get an equal quality experience or understanding from an audio book even if it is not an abbreviated form.

There are different sorts of cheating:

Are you asking about whether it is cheating to use this for school? In that case you may be cheating yourself of the fullest understanding, as well as cheating your fellow students, and your teacher of having the fully committed student that she can guide to further heights of education.

Are you asking whether it is cheating if you listen to this rather than read the print version for your own enjoyment and for your personal edification. In that case you are cheating yourself of the full experience, as well as your Friends and our culture of the more fully informed person you might be had you read the book in its entirety.

If your question is whether to listen to an audio book rather than not read at all. Then in that case it is the lesser evil to listen to the audio book, and I would claim that is not cheating at all, but of greater benefit to all than had you not even listened to the audio book.

All of this assumes that the audio book itself is quality material worthy of even the limited time spent listening.

Sometimes it is better to know what to avoid entirely than to choose between evils.
It's not cheating, but you miss out on seeing the spelling and punctuation, etc. in a conventional book. Audio books are great for when you're busy or driving, but there's nothing like laying down on the couch with a good book for sheer pleasure. The only person you're cheating is you.
I don't consider it's cheating, but I do think you'll be missing something. It's so good to read.
I think it's a different experience, but not "cheating". I enjoy books on tape for long car rides and housework. However, I stick to novels for audio... a dense philosophical book might go by too quickly.
I personally get more from a book by reading it rather than listening to it, but I'm a visual type person. I don't consider it cheating though. I consider it a way to be exposed to literature when you normally wouldn't have the chance, such as when you're driving or whatever. Besides, it beats morning radio.
if you're on the go a lot, it's a good way to keep up with the book world. if you have problems keeping the attention focused on the book, it helps to have the audiobook along with the real one. i don't consider it cheating as long as there's a legit reason for using it.
I don't think reading is a game. I like audio books.
well i'd say it is not cheating.just easyier.YEAH EASYIER!!!
