I am befuddled by the numerous options available in choosing a CD or DVD drive for my Home PC. I use the CD Drive for loading software or listening to audio (music/audio books) occasionally seeing Pictures/ home video. I would like sound advise with cost comaparison if possible regarding equipment available in India with warranty.Which is the best CD/DVD Drive for a single user Home PC for loading software, listening to audio books?
The cheapest one. If you're not looking for Dual-Layer, HDDVD, Blu-Ray, or other expensive writer/reader drives its pretty much a matter of which one is cheaper. A CD/DVD drive runs about $20 - $30 and will last a good couple years.Which is the best CD/DVD Drive for a single user Home PC for loading software, listening to audio books?
I know Asus is a pretty good brand name and they aren't overly expensive - not sure of availability in India, but if not, Sony is another solid brand name
