Is there an official rating system for audio books?

I have seen sites with 5 star ratings but when I listen to audio books sometimes I come across an offensive one. Is there a uncorrupted G, PG, PG-13, R system out there? If not would you like one?Is there an official rating system for audio books?
There is not such a system. There are Lexile ratings for children's books which speak to grade level, not content.

As with any book, if you find it offensive, shut it off. There are some groups who rate books, tv, films etc. according to their own criteria. If you find one of these you agree with, read their reviews. In the United States there is no censorship of books and that includes audio books. Is there an official rating system for audio books?
If they're proper audio books, as in made from real paper books then i would assume the audio would have the same rating as its paper counterpart. But if it is podcasts, purely online. There may not be a general rating system, just like everything else on the internet. I would assume the 5 star ratings would be more about people liking it, rather than it being an age appropriate rating system.
