What is the difference of abridged and unabridged audio books?

Can somebody tell me what the difference between unabridged and abridged audio books is?What is the difference of abridged and unabridged audio books?
Abridged works are shortened versions of the original unabridged books. For the most part, if a book is abridged it will leave out much of the narrator's comments and detail. Abridged works don't have the elaborate description of characters, setting, and plot details. You don't get the full sense of a scene because you don't have the description. Abridged works don't really cut out the plot, just a good deal of the detail that makes a book believable. What is the difference of abridged and unabridged audio books?
Unabridged means it is the full novel cover to cover.
